JIM TRELEASE IS NOW RETIRED FROM PUBLIC SPEAKING

Jim Trelease retired from public speaking in 2008. Why retirement at age 68? Four grandchildren all over the country — and a wife who has waited 24 years for him to come "in off the road" long enough to travel together.

He recalls his 24 years on the road in his retirement letter here, saluting his favorite educators and sharing some of the crazy incidents from his travels.

His lectures are available on CD audio and on DVD through Reading Tree Productions and he continues to maintain this Web site, reviewing children's books, and lecturing as a volunteer nearby in Massachusetts.

Responding to numerous requests, he recently compiled a series of free downloadable brochures for schools to use with parents, the contents based on his books and lectures. For more details, go to BROCHURES.
